WHAT WE’RE LOVING
🎬 Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones
In this new Netflix four-part series "Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones", Dan Buettner, takes viewers on a journey to the Blue Zones - regions with the highest number of centenarians, or people who live to 100. By stepping inside their homes and through interviews, Buettner highlights foods and lifestyles that positively impact their health (thanks Donna for sharing)!
Interested? Stay tuned for a discussion event on this show!
💊 Free Medicare Consultation with Keen
Earlier this month, we partnered with Scott Matthews, a licensed Medicare advisor from Keen, to host a discussion on “Insider’s guide to Medicare's next enrollment season”. With the enrollment season starting Oct. 15, Scott has offered a free 1-hour, objective, no obligation Medicare consult to our members. Learn more and sign-up for an appointment here.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Tuesday 9/5 at 6:15pm EST and Sunday 9/10 at 11:30am EST: Walk-with-a-Doc walking group around the Brookline Reservoir (Boston)
One of our wonderful members Donna, a physician, leads a walking group around the Brookline Reservoir. The walks will include a short health talk at the beginning. On 9/5, there will also be an optional pre-event picnic dinner at 5:30pm EST. Join a group of us to attend together! RSVP here.
Friday 9/8 at 1-2pm EST: Podcast discussion on “How retirement changes your identity” (virtual)
How has your identity evolved after retirement? How do you respond when people ask "what do you do"? In approaching her own retirement, Teresa Amabile, a professor at Harvard Business School, dived into research on how ending your work career can affect your sense of self. Join us in discussing a podcast highlighting her research. RSVP here.
