Transition into Retirement Together
Welcome to Hively’s weekly newsletter! This is where you’ll find announcements on upcoming events and resources to navigate retirement and discover what’s next, together.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
🧡 Interested in gathering with a smaller group of 6-10 for peer support around navigating retirement specific to “solo-agers”? Sign-up for our “solo-agers” small-group cohort - registration closes this Friday.
WHAT WE’RE LOVING
🗞 ‘We have brothers, sons, lovers – but they can’t live here!’ The happy home shared by 26 women
In our event last week on “living considerations for solo-agers”, we dived into a lively discussion on co-housing. Check out a recent article by The Guardian on New Ground, the UK’s first co-housing community exclusive for older women (thanks Rose for sharing!)
💊 Free Medicare Consultation with Keen
Earlier this month, we partnered with Scott Matthews, a licensed Medicare advisor from Keen, to host a discussion on “Insider’s guide to Medicare's next enrollment season”. With the enrollment season starting Oct. 15, Scott has offered a free 1-hour, objective, no obligation Medicare consult to our members. Learn more and sign-up for an appointment here.

Tuesday 9/5 at 6:15-7:15pm EST: Walk-with-a-Doc walking group around the Brookline Reservoir (Boston)

How has your identity evolved after retirement? How do you respond when people ask "what do you do"? In approaching her own retirement, Teresa Amabile, a professor at Harvard Business School, dived into research on how ending your work career can affect your sense of self. Join us in discussing a podcast highlighting her research. RSVP here.
